Nashville TN (January 7, 2009): The new year looks bright as Rural Rhythm
Records releases the highly anticipated new album,
Audie Blaylock & Redline on January 27, 2009.
The band is celebrating two singles: “Lonesome Weary Heart” currently on the charts and a brand new single
release, “Whispering Waters.”
"Whispering Waters” just hit radio last month via the new Rural Rhythm Records “Fresh Cuts & Key Tracks"
Radio Sampler #3 CD much to the delight of the fans waiting to hear new
music from Audie Blaylock & Redline.
Audie carefully selected all the songs on the album to
showcase the blended harmonies and masterful instrumentation by the
talented Redline members that include: Jason Johnson (mandolin,
tenor vocal); Patrick
McAvinue (fiddle); Matt Wallace (bass, bass vocal); Evan
Ward (banjo, baritone vocal); and of course, Audie Blaylock with his
signature lead vocals and guitar talents.
The song, "Lonesome Weary Heart" has already made a huge impact with radio
as it reached #1 three times last month on the Sirius Radio Dogstar Chart,
has recent chart success on the Bluegrass
Music Profiles Top 30 Singles, Bluegrass Unlimited Top 30
Singles, XM Bluegrass Junction Top 30 Tracks and hit #1 on Prime
Cuts of Bluegrass.
Other tracks on Audie Blaylock & Redline CD
include a host of songs with varied tempos and musical
styles including a solo ("Lonely
River"); an a cappella quartet ("Who’ll
Sing for Me?"); traditional songs ("My
Darling’s Last Goodbye" and "My Blue Eyed Darling"); a
gospel tune written by Jimmy Martin and Paul Williams ("Goodbye"); plus,
"Two
Lonely Hearts," "You’ll Never Be the Same," "Roll on Blues,"
"Mountain Laurel in Bloom" and "Send Me Your Address from
Heaven" which has been receiving heavy airplay including
Katy Daley's show on the popular WAMU
radio station.
The CD definitely showcases Audie Blaylock’s powerful vocals that have
deservingly placed him in an elite group of today’s bluegrass singers.
Over the years, Audie has received multiple honors and awards
with artists such as Jimmy Martin, Rhonda Vincent, Michael Cleveland,
but Audie takes center stage with Redline, a multi-talented band that
proves time and time again they are one of bluegrass music’s favorite artists.
